Compass Academy Live Online: Beyond the Ritual: Tactical Interventions for Clients Battling OCD in Daily Life
Treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in high-functioning clients requires moving past standard cognitive adjustments and stepping into the arena of high-impact, behavioral disruptions. For many individuals—particularly those in leadership positions or protective family roles—obsessive rituals are cleverly masked as hyper-vigilance, executive thoroughness, or simple dedication. This hidden cycle not only drains the client's mental bandwidth but routinely ensnares their entire family system in a exhausting loop of reassurance-seeking and accommodation.
This intensive 3-hour live online seminar equips clinicians with the tactical, real-time interventions necessary to break these deeply entrenched patterns. Participants will learn how to identify hidden rituals cloaked in professional guise, execute immediate in-session "Sense-Trust" drills to collapse cognitive checking loops, and systematically train family systems to refuse enablement. Led by Dr. Phillip Owens, this course provides a rigorous, actionable framework designed to shatter the control of OCD and restore authentic autonomy to your clients and their relationships.
Learning Objectives
The participant will recognize ways to unmask OCD in clients who successfully hide their rituals behind the guise of "leadership" or "family protection."
The clinician will know how to disrupt a client's checking loop in-session using a high-impact "Sense-Trust" drill that forces a shift from imagination to reality.
The participant will be able to weaponize the family system against the disorder by training partners to reject reassurance-seeking and break the enabling cycle.
