What to Expect from The Clinician’s Compass

Our Workshop and Training Vibes

At The Clinician’s Compass, we know that continuing education (CE) for therapists shouldn’t feel like a checkbox—it should feel meaningful, practical, and connected to your real clinical work. Whether you’re seeking CE workshops, interactive clinical training, supportive consultation, or professional development coaching, here’s what you can expect when you engage with our offerings:

Human‑Centered Learning (Not Boring CE!)

Community That Lasts

Professional development isn’t just about information—it’s about connection. When you participate in our trainings, you become part of an ongoing network of clinicians who:

  • share insights

  • support one another

  • stay in touch beyond the workshop room

  • return for follow‑up learning and consultation opportunities

Experts Who Get It

Our presenters are clinicians who understand both the clinical and professional sides of your work. There are no ivory towers here—just real clinicians with real experience, grounded wisdom, and practical insights to share.

The Clinician’s Compass: Ethics and Cyber Trauma Training has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit.

The Clinician’s Compass is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-5120.”

Kristin Trudeau and The Clinician’s Compass meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for CE credits. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification. AASECT CE’s are also recognized for approval for the state board, by the state of Tennessee.

We are currently seeking national approval for all other programs and workshops at this time. Please continue to check back for progress.

Let’s be honest: most continuing education experiences feel like crowded rooms, endless slides, and zero connection.

We’re not here for that. The Clinician’s Compass is flipping the script on continuing education.

  • Let’s be honest: most continuing education experiences feel like crowded rooms, endless slides, and zero connection. We’re here to flip that script. Our CE workshops and training events are:

    • Human first. Always. We care more about you than your CE form. Our spaces are safe, supportive, and full of real conversation—no robotic head nodding required.

    • Interactive and engaging. This isn’t a sit-and-listen lecture—no Charlie Brown teacher here. Instead, you’ll actively participate through Socratic dialogue, role-playing, and real-world case studies.

You’ll discuss, reflect, and practice throughout the session so you can actually apply what you learn—not just hear it. Slides support the experience, but the focus is on you: thinking, engaging, and building real skills.

    • Small and connected. We intentionally cap most trainings to small groups so meaningful conversations can happen.

    • Affordable on purpose. Quality CE should elevate your work—not drain your bank account. Our pricing reflects that commitment, and we also offer return‑attendee discounts.

Real Tools You Can Use on Monday

You won’t walk away with busy work or generic slides. Instead, you’ll get:

  • Practical strategies you can apply in your clinical practice right away

  • Structured frameworks for skills you’ve been meaning to master

  • Confidence in areas where you’ve felt uncertain

More Learning as You Grow

We’re expanding our offerings so you can continue building skills throughout the year. Starting in 2026:

  • Monthly live training sessions will help you grow without burnout

  • More workshops and specialty topics will be added to match your evolving needs

  • Alumni options, consultation groups, and ongoing professional support will keep you connected professionally long after a CE event ends

In short:
When you participate in The Clinician’s Compass CE workshops and training events, you can expect engaging learning, real tools you’ll use, supportive community, and opportunities to grow as a clinician and professional.
