Meet Stacy & Kristin
Stacy Phillips, LPC-MHSP, S, C-DBT
Stacy Phillips, LPC-MHSP, S, C-DBT is a licensed mental health counselor, supervisor, and consultant who’s spent almost 15 years walking alongside therapists as they grow, learn, and try to build meaningful careers without burning out in the process. She’s certified in DBT and has completed extensive training in Personality Disorders, Integrative Mental Health, and Clinical Trauma—experience she uses to make complex clinical work feel clearer, more grounded, and actually sustainable.
Over the years, Stacy has served as a Clinical Team Lead, Clinical Director, and Site Director, where she trained and supervised clinicians, built programs from scratch, strengthened clinical teams, and helped organizations grow in ways that truly support the people doing the work. If you’ve ever felt like the system wasn’t built with therapists in mind, Stacy has probably tried to fix that exact thing.
She created The Clinician’s Compass to give therapists what most of us wish we’d had from the start—real education, honest community, grounded consultation, and practical tools to help you build a career that feels aligned with your values instead of draining them.
In her private practice in Franklin, Tennessee, Stacy works primarily with women navigating complex trauma, mood concerns, and relationship patterns—and she also has a soft spot for supporting fellow therapists who are dealing with burnout, compassion fatigue, or the “I love this work but it’s eating me alive” feeling.
Stacy is passionate about helping clinicians feel more confident, more supported, and more themselves—both in and out of the therapy room. And when she’s not teaching or meeting with clients, you’ll usually find her in her home studio making music or filming silly comedy sketches with friends. It’s her own reminder that creativity, connection, and joy matter just as much to therapists as they do to the clients we serve.
